MISSION For use in the 76mm L5A1 (on Saladin) or L23/23A1 guns (on SCORPION light tanks) against personnel and material targets and in order to provide fire support to infantry. DESCRIPTION The high fragmentation steel projectile is loaded with Composition B and is equipped with a Point Detonating fuze model M739 or equivalent. A tracer is mounted on the projectile base. The projectile is fixed on a brass cartridge case, which contains a single base multi-perforatedpropellant and a mechanical primer.
