MISSION For use with current in-service 90mm Cockerill MKIII MA1 guns and similarly equipped ENGESA EC-90 light guns to defeat armored targets, including multi plate spaced armour, using the kinetic energy of the tungsten alloy long rod penetrator. DESCRIPTION The projectile consists of a sub-projectile and sabot. The sub-projectile comprises an Armour Piercing Fin Stabilized tungsten alloy long rod penetrator, an aluminium windshield and a tracer assembled in the fin assembly. This is contained within a 3-piece

aluminium Discarding Sabot, held in place with a plastic band at the forward end and a plastic obturating band at the rear end of the sabot. The projectile is crimped to the cartridge case which is loaded with cool burning, multi-perforated, loose propellant. PACKAGING
