<p>PACKAGING</p><h2>DESCRIPTION</h2><p>The bomb consists of a two-piece projectile.  The forward part houses the illuminating payload,while the parachute is lodged in the rearsection. The bomb is ﬁtted with a time fuze.The standard propelling charge set consists  of a primary cartridge and 6 equal charge increments. The round has a range in excess of 7km. The infrared illuminating composition is visible in the IR spectrum from 0.7 to 1.2 microns with a minimal signature in the visible spectrum. The pyrotechnic composition is REACH compliant.</p><h2>MISSION</h2><p>The 120mm illuminating bomb is designed foruse in 120mm smooth bore towed mortars.The round is used to produce illumination of  a speciﬁc point or area of operations in the nearinfrared for use of night vision goggles.</p>
