The XQ-58A Valkyrie is a high-altitude long-endurance, runway-independent, high-subsonic ‘Loyal Wingman’ UAS developed jointly by Kratos and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to be used in ISR and long-range strike missions. It is part of AFRL’s Low-Cost Attritable Aircraft Technology portfolio of programmes. According to Kratos, the XQ-58A is a stealthy, long-range, high speed and manoeuvrable platform which can deliver a mix of lethal weapons from its internal bomb bay and wing
stations.
