Development As its designation implies, the 122 mm Corps Gun M1931/37 (A-19) dates back to 1931, the year it entered service with the Soviet armed forces; the ordnance was placed on a different carriage in 1937 to convert it to the M1931/37. This heavy weapon has now passed from service with nearly all the

former Warsaw Pact nations (other than Romania ) but it remains in service with other nations throughout the world.
