It has four gas check rings around the bourrelet and a light-alloy tail unit screwed into the rear end. The four fins are slightly canted off the bomb axis, so as to induce a degree of roll stabilisation into the bomb's flight, which probably improves the accuracy and consistency. The propellant charge consists of a shotgun type primary cartridge
