A 12.96 g lead round-nosed bullet was adopted, but in view of the dubious legality of expanding bullets in the eyes of The Hague Convention, it was replaced by a jacketed bullet in 1938. Although the 0.38 revolver is no longer in British service it is still widely used in various parts of the British Commonwealth as a police and second-line military revolver.</p><h2>Description</h2><p>A rimmed, brass, straight-taper case, Berdan primed.
