Description This resembles the smoke bomb Mk 61 described previously, except for the addition of a plastic obturating ring around the body just below the gas check grooves. This reduces windage and creates a more efficient gas seal, so providing a better and more consistent muzzle velocity. The internal arrangements and operation of the bomb are the same.
