Nexter’s 20mm naval gun provides a lightweight, interception mission solution for small ships and a self-defence option for larger tonnage ships. The system is widely deployed by the French Navy and Maritime Police Forces, including Tripartite-class minehunters that are in service in multiple countries. The 20F2 is based on naval versions of either M621 or M693 cannon, both originally developed for other domains of
warfare.
