The new Dakar-class SSKs are currently being developed by ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems. According to the agreement reached in January 2022, three vessels have been ordered by the Israeli Navy to replace the first three Dolphin-class submarines. The Dakar class will be larger than the Dolphin Batch II and will feature new weapon

systems.
