The A26 SSKs for the Royal Swedish Navy are designed to replace the existing pair of Sodermanland-class submarines. The A26 is being designed and built by Swedish shipyard Kockums, which was taken over by Saab following a dispute between the Swedish government and previous yard owner ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems. The future HSwMS Blekinge and HSwMS Skåne are due to enter service in 2027 and 2028 after

delays.
