Candian shipbuilder Vard Marine, part of Fincantieri, is offering the Vard 7 313 MultiPurpose Logistics Vessel (MPLV). The vessel has primarily been designed as a flexible platform capable of undertaking force protection, maritime special operations, EEZ patrol and humanitarian assistance. The design was first revealed at IMDEX 2019 and was aimed at being an affordable design for emerging countries in Africa and South East Asia. The MPLV’s main capabilities include offloading heavy equipment, carrying cargo,
transporting troops, launching boats and supporting aviation.
