The Navajo class is the USN’s new class of towing, salvage, and rescue ships to replace the current T-ATF 166 and T-ARS 50 class ships. This is in alignment with the navy’s plan to expand the fleet to 355 ships. The first of the class will be named ISNS Navajo and designated T-ATS 6. The first five vessels are expected to be delivered between 2024 and 2025, with a total of nine now on

order.
