Resolve-class AOR

Marine
Canada's Resolve-class auxiliary oiler replenishment ship was created by converting the commercial containership MV Asterix, originally built between 2008 and 2010 at Nordic Yards Wismar in Germany. The conversion, carried out by Chantier Davie Canada, was designed to bridge the capability gap left by the retirement of HMCS Protecteur in 2015 and HMCS Preserver in 2016. The vessel serves as an interim solution ahead of the two Queenston-class replenishment ships, providing the Royal Canadian Navy with essential
underway replenishment capability for fuel, stores, and personnel transfer.
