The Gowind 1000 patrol vessel is a smaller variant of the Gowind family designed by France’s Naval Group. This is intended for protection, escort and embargo missions in a littoral environment, as well as performing surveillance, intelligence and policing duties. The Gowind 1000 was designed to fit between the Gowind 2500 and the Gowind L’Adroit class OPV 90 but is, in fact, the smallest of the Gowind
family.
