The Nornen-class patrol boats are in service with the Norwegian Coast Guard and were built in Poland. They were initially leased, and a decision was later made in 2008 to buy them, but it was not until 2011 that a deal was concluded. The vessels are dedicated to near-shore patrolling. The first was delivered in 2006 after contracts were placed in 2005, and the remaining vessels were commissioned in
