Description

The Cape -class patrol boat was contracted to Australian company Austal in 2011 as a replacement for the Australian Customs and Border Protection fleet of Bay-class boats. The primary role will be protecting and monitoring Australia’s EEZ and maritime borders. A total of 16 Cape-class vessels have been ordered between Australian Customs and the Royal Australian Navy. Trinidad and Tobago have also received two Cape-class

vessels.
