Twelve Grajaú-class OPVs are in service with the Brazilian Navy. Ordered in 1990, the first of class was commissioned in December 1993, with the last entering service in 2000. The ships were built at three indigenous yards, and six were manufactured in Germany. They are based on a Vosper design and are similar to the Bangladeshi Navy’s Meghna
class.
