The Philippine Coast Guard ordered two 94-metre multi-role response vessels in 2020, following on from the earlier and smaller Parola-class MRRVs already in service. The new vessels are being constructed by Mitsubishi Shipbuilding in Japan and will be the largest platforms ever operated by the Philippine Coast Guard.
