The MPV70 MKII is a multipurpose combat vessel designed by Fassmer. It has been selected by the Ecuadorian Navy for its Multipurpose Combat Vessel programme. The vessel will be built locally by Astilleros Navales Ecuatorianos (ASTINAVE EP) and is capable of support and patrol roles. A contract was signed in December 2019 after Fassmer was selected following an international tender process. With a unit cost of $42 million, the Ecuadorian vessel is planned to be delivered in
2023.
