The River class Batch 2 is the Royal Navy’s next-generation OPVs. The River class Batch 2 is an improved River class batch 1, which first entered service in 2003. Five ships have been ordered for the use of the Royal Navy built by BAE Systems, with the first of class, HMS Forth, commissioned in 2018. The remaining four ships were all delivered by the end of 2020. The last was commissioned into service in January
2021.
