Oaxaca-class OPVs are a further development of the Holzinger-class ships but are longer, wider, substantially heavier and with more modern weapons and sensors. Seven of the class are in service, the most recent commissioned in November 2018, and the last has been launched. The vessels, in service with the Mexican Navy, are for SAR, interception and monitoring missions in Mexican EEZ
waters.
