The Sparrowhawk is a UAS being developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI). The platform can be air-launched from a larger UAS, such as an MQ-9, and can be recovered in-air once its mission is completed. Powered by a hybrid-electric propulsion system that utilises JP-8 fuel, the UAS features an interchangeable nose that can host different payloads, such as an EO/IR sensor, an imaging radar, SIGINT/ELNIT, or jamming
payloads.
