Four Styrsö-class minehunters were built for the Swedish Navy by Karlskronavarvet, a subsidiary of Kockums, in the mid-1990s. The ships carry mechanical, magnetic and acoustic sweeps as well as Uven ROVs. They are also fitted with two 12.7mm MGs. Two of the class, Styrsö and Sparö, have been modified to better act as dive support
ships.
