Modified Ivan Gren Class (Project 11711)

Two large landing ships are currently under construction at Yantar Shipyard for the Russian Navy. The vessels are modified variants of the Ivan Gren class (Project 11711). Although the code has not been amended, the shape and dimensions differ from the original ships. The vessels are capable of undertaking landing operations on hostile territory, hardware and equipment transportation, as well as humanitarian operations. The vessels are expected to enter service in 2023 and 2024
respectively.
