The Bonifaz class (F-110) of ships is a new set of ASW frigates for the Spanish Navy that will be delivered in the 2020s to replace the existing six Santa Maria-class (F80) frigates and operate alongside the navy’s Alvaro de Bazan F-100 frigates. The shipyard Navantia, which was awarded the $4.9 billion contract in December 2018, has called the project F2M2, and it will build on the F-100 design for the new
ships.
