The Ulsan Class (FFX Batch III) is south Korea launched the FFX Batch III project in 2015 to build a new class of improved anti-aircraft detection vessels to replace the ageing escort and patrol ships the country has in service. Hyundai Heavy Industries was awarded the design and development work for the feature Ulsan-class vessels, followed by a contract for the construction of six vessels for the Republic of Korea Navy in
2020.
