The Kaan 15-class fast interdiction craft is the smallest of the family manufactured by Yonca Onuk. The Turkish Coast Guard has had 18 boats in service since 1997, and the last was delivered in 2002. Three are in service with Turkish Customs and four have been exported. Primary roles for the type include: SAR, anti-smuggling, protection of coastal and offshore installations and coastal
surveillance.
