The UK RN’s Gibraltar Squadron is to receive two new 19m fast patrol boats to replace the 16m patrol crafts that have been in service with the squadron for the past 17 years. A contract for the vessel manufacture and platform support worth £9.9 million ($12.6 million) was awarded in July 2020 to Marine Specialised Technology (MST), but the ships are being designed by BMT.
