The L-CAT is a fast catamaran landing craft used for shore-to-shore missions or to deploy from the well deck of LHD and amphibious landing platform dock ships. With a variable draft system, it can operate as a fast connector and a landing aircraft. Since 2011, the L-CAT has been commissioned into the French National Navy under the name EDA-R (rapid amphibious landing
