Russian shipbuilder Northern Design Bureau unveiled Project 22160E, an export-orientated variant of the Project 22160 patrol ship, at the International Maritime Defense Show 2021. The primary role of the vessel will be as a multipurpose patrol ship for distant sea areas but can also be retrofitted up to a corvette class. The vessel will be capable of carrying a mixed armament suite with the Kalibr-NKE missile system and 3K96-3E Resurs vertically launched SAM
system.
