Details are scarce on Myanmar’s Anawrahta-class corvettes. Three hulls purchased from China in the 1990s were outfitted locally at Sinmalaik Shipyard in Rangoon. The three ships were commissioned in 2001, 2003 and 2016. They provide Myanmar with a vastly improved ability to protect its EEZ and maritime

borders.
