Anping Class Cutter

Taiwan’s Coast Guard Administration (CGA) plans to procure twelve 600t cutters for maritime law enforcement. The class has been called the Anping class, based on the Tuo Chiang-class corvettes being built for the navy. This is part of a programme that also involves six 1,000t cutters and four 4,000t cutters also for the CGA. The 600t cutters are being built by Taiwan-based Jong Shyn Shipbuilding Corporation and began construction in January 2019. Four have currently been ordered and are due to be delivered before
the end of 2026.
