The Anadolu class consists of one Multipurpose Amphibious Assault Ship (LHD) being built for the Turkish Navy, TCG Anadolu. The vessel is currently undergoing sea trials and is expected to be commissioned in 2022. The contract for the construction of the ship was signed in 2015 and is the largest single defence industry product of Turkey. The multipurpose ship has the ability to carry landing craft and tanks. It also serves as an aircraft landing plat-form. Following the removal of Turkey from the F35 programme,

the TCG Anadolu will operate as a full-fledged drone carrier.
