The lightweight 2B25 82mm mortar is produced by UVZ’s CRI Burevestnik subsidiary and was unveiled in 2011. It is designed for use by SF which require a compact weapon with a minimal noise, smoke and flame signature. It is operated by two crew members – one who carries the weapon in a backpack and a second who carries the ammunition. The 3VO35 HE bomb is equipped with a propelling charge designed to reduce noise. The manufacturer is working to increase the firing range of the

ammunition.
