In 2010, MBDA started the development of the Medium-Range Missile (MMP) to meet the requirements of the French Army for an ATGM that could be deployed from a firing post by infantry or as a turret-mounted medium-range ATGM system. The MMP features fire-and-forget and man-in-the-loop guidance and a non-LoS attack capability. It is designed to achieve a range of 4,000m and be launched from enclosed spaces. Firing trials of complete systems began in early 2015, with final qualification scheduled for late 2016 and
deliveries to the French Army expected to begin in mid-2017.
