The 40mm low-velocity FN Herstal FN GL1 was designed to integrate under the FN F2000 Standard or Tactical assault rifle (see separate entry) as a replacement for the standard or triple-rail handguard. The launcher quickly attaches to the lower rail of the rifle. Integration retains the ergonomics, balance and contours of the rifle. The operator can pull either the rifle or grenade launcher trigger without changing hand
