Azerbaijan exhibited the 7.62x54mm HP-7.62 LMG to potential export customers for the first time at IDEF 2013, when the weapon was still undergoing testing. The HP-7.62 is described as a completely new design, which was developed to provide SF with a more compact belt-fed 7.62x54mm machine gun than the UP-7.62. The weapon is fitted with a MIL-STD-1913 rail on the receiver cover. Additional rails are provided at the three, six and nine o’clock
positions.
