PGW developed the bolt-action .338 Lapua Mag Timberwolf, building upon its Timberwolf hunting rifle, to fulfill the Canadian Army's Medium-Range Sniper Weapon System (MRSWS) requirement. In 2005, PGW was awarded a C$4.5 million ($3.5 million) contract to provide the newly designated C14 MRSWS to the Canadian army. The rifle features a MIL-STD-1913 rail on the receiver, allowing for the attachment of various sights, and additional rails are provided on the forestock for further
customization.
