Description
In 2009, LMT unveiled the .308 Modular Weapon System, which integrated the company's Monolithic Rail Platform (MRP). Crafted from a single aluminum forging, the MRP boasts a quad MIL-STD-1913 rail system. During the same year, the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) chose this weapon to fulfill its need for a 7.62mm sharpshooter rifle for deployment in Afghanistan. Over 3,000 rifles, designated as the L129A1, have since been deployed in the
field.
