The 5.56mm LM8MRP was designed to be a light, versatile weapon and retain the strength of LMT’s machine gun-grade barrel. It incorporates the company’s Monolithic Rail Platform made from a single aluminium forging and incorporating a quad MIL-STD-1913 rail system. The weapon is equipped with a SOPMOD buttstock with a six-position extension tube. In addition to the standard 16in barrel, barrels are available in 1.5in, 14.5in and 18in lengths. Barrels can be replaced in the

field.
