The SP-180 SRE APU Demonstrator is auxiliary power unit demonstrator for aircraft and land & maritime systems. Demonstrator allows users to test and evaluate an auxiliary power unit based on Sky Power International's SP-180 SRE hybrid Wankel engine. This APU provides an independent supply that can be used to provide electrical power for an aircraft's non-propulsion systems even while the main engine is switched off, and is also highly suited to land vehicles and maritime vessels. The gasoline-powered demonstrator
unit includes an exhaust and silencer, engine control unit, starter and alternator, EFI, fuel pump, power supply and starter control, and a cooling circuit. The compact and lightweight system is highly portable, runs extremely efficiently, and requires only a 48 V DC power supply to operate.
