The EMCORE CIRUS and CIRUS-EX are compact inertial reference units designed for strategic-grade spacecraft attitude control and precision pointing in military and space applications. Each unit integrates four fiber optic gyroscope sensors with dual A/B electronics for redundant operation, achieving angle random walk below 100 micro-degrees per root-hour in a cost-effective package suited for small satellites and defense space platforms. Dual-redundant MIL-STD-1553 and RS-422 serial interfaces, Class S and Class K

radiation-hardened components, user-selectable thermal set points, and individual sensor power control provide the flexibility and reliability required for long-duration space missions. CIRUS units are appropriate for spacecraft attitude determination and control systems, precision navigation payloads, and other defense space applications requiring compact, high-performance inertial sensing with on-orbit configurability.
