The EMCORE TACNAV TLS (Target Location System) is a battle management, tactical navigation, and targeting solution for turreted military vehicles including cavalry, reconnaissance, armored personnel carriers, and light armored vehicles. It provides continuous, jam-proof navigation using a highly accurate compass for unjammable heading, combined with odometer-based dead reckoning accurate to within 2 to 3 percent of distance traveled, and integrates with battle management systems through a digital interface.
Capabilities include far target location, GPS backup and enhancement, hull and turret azimuth tracking, and steer-to and cross-track error displays, giving vehicle crews comprehensive situational awareness and targeting data without dependence on GPS availability. The TACNAV TLS is field-proven and suited for reconnaissance and combined arms operations requiring reliable navigation and targeting under electronic warfare conditions.
