The TACNAV® IIc is a Fiber Optic Gyro (FOG)-based tactical Inertial Navigation System (INS) that provides highly accurate navigation with an embedded GNSS. Its modular design and flexible architecture allow it to function as a standalone tactical navigation solution or as the core of an expandable, multi-functional Battlefield Management System (BMS).Key Features:

The EMCORE TACNAV IIc is a fiber optic gyroscope-based tactical inertial navigation system for military vehicles, providing highly accurate dead reckoning navigation to within 1 percent of distance traveled with GNSS-aided heading accuracy of 0.5 degrees RMS. Its modular design enables standalone tactical navigation or expansion into a multi-functional Battlefield Management System, with Ethernet, CANbus, and RS-422 interfaces for integration with military GNSS receivers and BMS platforms.

Built for turreted and non-turreted vehicles in GPS-denied environments, the TACNAV IIc uses EMCORE's DSP-3000 FOG for single-axis inertial navigation with embedded GNSS supporting GLONASS, GALILEO, and BeiDou in addition to GPS. It is appropriate for armored vehicles, wheeled tactical platforms, and reconnaissance vehicles requiring 100 percent situational awareness across all terrain and jamming environments.
