The 18 Slot Rugged Test and Deploy System is a rugged VPX test and verification platform for airborne and mobile defense environments. LCR positions it as an RXS chassis solution for OpenVPX and SOSA aligned payloads, combining high slot density with platform-ready power and thermal architecture for demonstration, validation, and deployment support. The system integrates dual eight-slot backplanes, each with dual VITA 62 power supply bays, to support up to four power modules with a maximum combined output of
2800W. Altitude-adaptive cooling dissipates over 1000W TDP at 15,000 feet and 500W at 30,000 feet, and the chassis meets MIL-STD-704E, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-167, and MIL-S-901D Method while maintaining a 9 to 10.5 inches height, 19.5 inches depth, and 35–40 lbs base weight.
