The KG-250X Inline Network Encryptor is a rugged low-SWaP Type 1 network encryptor for protecting tactical and mobile IP communications up to TS/SCI levels. Viasat positions the KG-250X as an NSA-certified HAIPE Type 1 Inline Network Encryptor (INE) that combines high-speed secure IP encryption with Trusted Cyber Sensor (TCS) cyber defense and monitoring capabilities for more secure tactical networking. The device supports efficient secure traffic routing through embedded OSPF and Protocol Independent Multicast

(PIM), helping reduce overhead while maintaining protected communications across deployed networks. In line with the source, the KG-250X is built for harsh environments, including MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461 compliance, high-altitude airborne use, and accommodation for high-density 1U rackmount stacking in rugged tactical transport and edge communications programs.
