The CUSV (Common Unmanned Surface Vehicle) is a proven uncrewed maritime asset that allows naval forces to undertake a variety of vital missions while keeping personnel out of harm’s way. Compliant with STANAG 4586, the Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems (JAUS) protocol, and Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) communication architecture, it has been selected as the system of choice for the U.S. Department of Defense’s first small USV program of record. The unmanned

vessel is equipped with a specialized version of Textron’s common command-and-control system that has also successfully been used to support UAS platforms over more than one million flight hours.The versatile platform is datalink-agnostic, can be launched from ports, Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) and vessels of opportunity, and is able to withstand conditions up to Sea State 5 (13 foot/4 meter waves). The modular large-capacity payload bay can be easily and quickly reconfigured to serve multiple missions, including: ISR Mine counter-measures (MCM) – identifying and triggering mines Expeditionary warfare & maritime force protection – identifying and engaging remote targets Offensive mine-laying Non-lethal weaponry
