It has been selected by the US Navy for critical maritime over-the-horizon communications, and incorporates a secure datalink with robust protection against jamming and hacking attacks. It has been ruggedized to withstand the harshest of operating conditions, including rain, snow, salt spray, and extremes of temperature and humidity, and functions reliably in wind speeds of up to 35 knots.
