The FT743-SM is a ruggedized ultrasonic wind sensor with built-in heating system. The FT743-SM is an advanced wind sensor designed to withstand the most challenging of battlefield environments. Acu-Res® technology, the FT743-SM provides a stronger signal-to-noise ratio than other ultrasonic anemometer technologies, and provides extremely high levels of data availability even under challenging conditions such as heavy rain or vibration. Every unit undergoes a rigorous battery of tests to ensure that it can endure the significant stressors experienced in military and defense environments, including shock, moisture, dust, extremes of temperature, EMI and more. The rugged sensor is constructed from lightweight corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum, and weighs just 252g. It is well suited to integration into drones and unmanned systems as well as military vehicles and tactical weather stations.
